FAQs
What exactly do I receive with Web of Life?
Web of Life gives you ready-to-use, hands-on lessons for ages 5–10 across nature, science, garden-to-kitchen, and homesteading. Each lesson includes a supply list, step-by-step instructions, parent guidance, and age adaptations so you can teach multiple children from the same lesson.
Is Web of Life a full curriculum or enrichment?
Web of Life is an enrichment curriculum. It is not designed to replace your core math or language arts. It is created to come alongside your homeschool with meaningful lessons in nature, science, gardening, cooking, homesteading, and creative expression.
Most families use Web of Life 1–3 days per week as science, nature study, Friday enrichment, co-op lessons, or hands-on learning time.
What age range is Web of Life for?
Web of Life is designed for children ages 5–10. The lessons are created so families can learn together, with age-appropriate questions and activity options for younger and older children.
Can I use Web of Life with multiple children?
Yes. Web of Life was created for family-style learning. Each topic can be taught to multiple ages at the same time, with simple ways to adjust the lesson for younger children or older learners.
How much parent prep is required?
Most lessons are designed to be simple and easy to use. You will want to review the supply list ahead of time, but you do not need hours of planning. The goal is to give you meaningful hands-on learning without adding more stress to your homeschool week.
How long does each lesson take?
Most lessons can be used in about 30–60 minutes, depending on your child’s age, interest level, and how deeply you want to explore. Some families keep the lesson simple, while others turn it into a longer nature walk, kitchen project, or afternoon activity.
What if I do not have a garden?
You can still use Web of Life. Many lessons can be done with pots, herbs, a patio, a park, a kitchen table, a nature walk, or simple observation. You do not need a farm or large outdoor space to begin.
Are there extra supplies needed?
Some lessons use simple kitchen, garden, nature, or science supplies. Most materials are low-cost and easy to find, and many are items families already have at home. Supply lists are included so you can prepare before starting.
How are the lessons delivered?
Web of Life is delivered digitally after purchase. You can download the PDF lessons and begin right away.
Can I print the lessons?
Yes. You may print the lessons for your own family use. If you prefer a professionally printed copy, we also offer a printing option through our trusted printing partner.
Can I see a lesson before buying?
Yes. We recommend starting with the sample lesson or the free Garden Exploration Guide so you can see the lesson style before purchasing.
Can I buy just one month without starting a subscription?
Yes. The one-month option is a one-time purchase. It is a simple way to try Web of Life, explore the lesson style, and see how it fits your family before joining the monthly membership or purchasing the full year.
What is the difference between the one-month option, monthly membership, and annual curriculum?
The one-month option gives you access to one month of lessons without starting a subscription.
The monthly membership is best for families who want fresh lessons added each month.
The annual curriculum is best for families who want the full year ready to go and want the best value.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly members may cancel before the next billing cycle to stop future payments. You will keep access to the lessons included in the month or months you purchased.
Do you offer refunds?
Because Web of Life is a digital curriculum with immediate access after purchase, all sales are final and non-refundable. We encourage families to preview a sample lesson first or start with one month if they are not ready to purchase the full year.
Is Web of Life religious or secular?
Web of Life is a nature-based, hands-on enrichment curriculum focused on nature, science, gardening, kitchen skills, observation, and real-life learning. Families may use it in a secular homeschool, charter school, co-op, or faith-based home.
Can I use charter school funds or homeschool funds?
Many families use Web of Life as homeschool enrichment, science, nature study, or hands-on learning support. Charter school rules vary, so please check with your school before purchasing. We are happy to provide basic product information or a receipt if your school needs it.
How is Web of Life different from a traditional workbook curriculum?
Web of Life is built around doing, observing, making, cooking, planting, exploring, and asking questions. Instead of relying on worksheets, children learn through real-life activities in the kitchen, garden, and natural world.
The lessons were first shaped through real farm-school experiences with children at Sand n Straw Community Farm and then adapted for families to use at home.
Who created Web of Life?
Web of Life was created from the hands-on learning experiences of Sand n Straw Community Farm and the Young Pioneers farm school program. It was built for families who want learning to feel practical, connected, memorable, and alive.
